Why Project Lazon

Real People. Helping People in Real Life.

Vehicle ownership is easier when you have someone knowledgeable in your corner. Project Lazon is being built to help people keep the information, understand the situation, ask better questions, and communicate more effectively with the businesses helping them.

Your vehicle · your information

For customers

Build your arrival packet with vehicle details, requested service and useful records, then review and share it with your chosen shop before arrival. Start with routine maintenance or explain a concern in your own words.

Understand the customer experience
Your team · your workflow

For shops

Receive an arrival packet or invite a customer to prepare one before their visit. Review the packet, clarify what is missing, coordinate arrival, and record completed service with your team.

How customers and shops work together

Project Lazon is a pre-arrival platform. The customer prepares an arrival packet with what they know and what they need. The shop reviews it and confirms the next action, timing and any work authorization. An arrival packet carries the information; it does not book an appointment or authorize repairs. A customer can also print or share a packet with a shop that has not joined.

You can read about either side before choosing an account. Reading a page does not change your account role.

Our story and mission

Not everyone has the trusted dad, friend, technician, or vehicle person they can call when a warning light comes on, an estimate arrives, or something just does not make sense.

Records get scattered. Families own several rides. Shops get busy. Customers work odd hours. Important conversations happen while somebody is unavailable. Both customers and good shops waste time rebuilding information that already existed somewhere.

Project Lazon exists to make that handshake better. Better information for the customer. Better information for the shop. Less wasted time for both. The technology is here to support better real-life decisions and better real-life relationships.

Project Lazon is free for customers. Real customers and shops help improve it through practical use, feedback and voluntary support.

Shop Project Lazon

Build a Project Lazon Connected shop presence.

Shops can create their own shop profile, declare the rides and work they actually service, and prepare for real customer service requests.

Shop setup

Build your shop

Authorized location setup • usually a few minutes

Create the location’s working profile yourself. You choose whether it should remain a private workspace or be considered for a public listing after review.

Step 3 · Create this shop location

Business, service and customer-access detailsEverything below belongs to this exact physical location. You can review it before creating the profile.

The private account mobile is never copied here. This number is not published when the workspace stays private.

What rides do you actually service?

Choose capabilities, not a marketing label. Motorcycle is part of the broader Powersports family; PWC can legitimately overlap Powersports and Marine. Project Lazon matches the ride to declared service capability.

What work can you perform?

Start with broad service work and keep operating options separate. Choose only what this location is equipped and willing to evaluate.

Add the detailed services that fit those rides

This is where the broad list becomes useful for your actual shop. After account creation you can also mark offered work as “do not send,” “especially want,” or conditional.

This preserves the shop’s exact service scope for review. It does not automatically publish a claim, expand matching, or imply qualification.

Understand a shop message

Make a shop message easier to act on.

Bring the shop’s exact words. Project Lazon keeps the source separate, explains the language, shows what is still uncertain, and prepares the next useful question.

Nothing is sent to the shop. Nothing becomes vehicle history until you review it.
Project Lazon treats this as source text—not as its own diagnosis.Customer supplied; shop authorship is not verified here.

These details help the shop contact you and prepare its customer record. Add your name, a contact method and mailing address for your arrival packet. You can save partial details and explore another step. Saving here does not send anything to a shop.

Type your details or use a photo

A driver's license photo can help fill your name and mailing address. Review what was read before saving; enter phone or email yourself. Using a document is optional.

Contact availabilityChange your usual contact times ▾

Shop hours and your life may not line up. Tell Project Lazon when a call is useful, when text works better, and when you are normally unavailable.

These are saved account preferences. Review them for each visit; if your availability changes for just one visit, also include that in your service request.
Want nearby shop results?Your saved city and state help start nearby searches. You can also enter another ZIP, use your current location with permission, or search for a shop by name in the Shop step.
Saved helpful information can prefill these fields as a draft before confirmation. Project Lazon will not silently overwrite an already-confirmed address.

For an arrival packet: your contact and mailing address, vehicle year/make/model, what service you want, and your chosen shop. Saved details can be reused.

Optional shortcuts: a license photo for contact details, a registration or VIN for vehicle details, and photos or notes about the service need. Coverage information helps if known. You do not need documents or an appointment to start.

Registration or an identification label may save typing. A service receipt adds history. Review any readings before using them; your original file is retained.

Find a shop by name or browse an area. Saving a shop is private and does not send a request. A public listing only identifies a place you may choose; it does not mean the shop has joined Project Lazon or received your information. Project Lazon Connected means the shop participates directly, but it is not an endorsement or ranking. You can still prepare a packet for a shop that has not joined when you choose to share it.

Your packet does not require a shop listing.

Prepare your saved or current request, then print, save a PDF or share a secure link with the shop you choose.

Additional details for the shop (optional)Known vehicle context is reused

If you have answered these before, Project Lazon reuses them. You can save your request without answering these. Add what you know when it helps the shop prepare.

How do you generally want parts decisions handled on this vehicle?

Optional. This gives the advisor a sense of your preferences; it does not mean OEM is always best or that the shop should use a source that is wrong for the repair.

How would you describe how this vehicle is usually cared for?

A quick self-description helps the shop understand history and expectations. This is context - not a score or judgment.

Routine maintenance: no symptom-experience questions are needed. Describe the service you want; add history or records if helpful.

Who has the best firsthand knowledge?

If someone else knows more, you can tell the shop here.

Is there a warranty, service contract or maintenance plan you want the shop to check?

Optional. A factory warranty, purchased service contract or prepaid maintenance plan may apply differently. You do not need to know whether this work is covered; the shop must check.

Current or recent visit: open the service request first, then attach its estimate, inspection, repair order, or invoice so the paperwork stays with that visit.

Older or unlinked history: add one or several ROs or invoices here. Project Lazon saves every original, then lets you review each record and link documents from the same visit.

Source matters: Project Lazon will distinguish records provided by a shop from records uploaded by a customer.

What should Project Lazon send you?

Declare capability, hard boundaries, preferred work and current appetite. Project Lazon uses these as explainable matching inputs — subscription never buys a better match.

What rides do you service?

What work does this location offer?

Choose the work this exact location is equipped and willing to evaluate. Mobile service and pickup/delivery are delivery options, not a separate kind of shop.

Work preference

Broad offered work and the ride-specific services selected above appear here. Set each service only where it applies: “Do not send” is a hard boundary, “Conditional” means the shop must confirm it first, and “Especially want” improves fit only when capability is already present. One service can have only one preference.

Especially want
Capability ≠ boundary ≠ preference ≠ current capacity. Project Lazon keeps them separate so a shop can be capable of work without wanting it today.

Forms & paperwork

Open the arrival packet before the customer arrives. If your shop has a configured work-order form, it is included and prefilled from the shared packet. Confirm the details and fill in missing information at arrival; printing is not signed authorization.

The standard worksheet works without a shop management system. Custom form adaptation requires an agreed setup scope; contributing founding shops may receive an approved exception. Selecting a form does not purchase a service.

Use the paperwork you already created

Preparing for a shop visit

Understand the service process.

Plain-language help for describing a concern, preparing for an appointment, understanding an estimate, and keeping useful service records.

What helps at each step?

Describe your request: say what service you want or what you noticed. Routine maintenance does not need a symptom story. Add mileage or a dashboard reminder if known.

Prepare your arrival packet: check your vehicle, contact details, requested service and chosen shop. Photos and background details are optional. Prepare the packet, then choose whether to print or share it.

Before work begins: confirm the appointment, scope and estimate with the shop. Preparing or sharing a packet does not authorize repairs.
